Some random snapshots taken in the upscale Providencia district of Santiago, Chile on a quiet Sunday in August 2008, before the camera was stolen. This was towards the end of winter, so the trees are leafless.

Mapocho River, contained in a sealed channel to make room for the trench beside it holding the Costanera Norte freeway.

Skyline 1 - It is difficult for a picture to show just how high these mountians are (over 6,500 meters), because there is nothing to give them scale. When walking, the eye unconsciously triangulates. Note the point of light in the further mountain range, to the right: a ski resort an hour's drive away,
